And
the winner is...
Whether
you've dreamed of seeing yourself on the big screen, or fancied
yourself behind the camera directing the action, here's your chance
for 15 minutes of fame in this fun-packed team building event. Take
to the red carpet in true Oscar style for the concluding awards
ceremony - just make sure you've prepared your acceptance speech!
Lights
Camera Action is a two part event normally run during the afternoon
and then after dinner. Each team chooses an envelope which contains
their given film type and theme. The films can also be appointed
a particular idea or objective such as an advertisement for a new
product or a corporate message.
We
provide teams with a camera, director's chair, clapper-board, studio
light and other items needed to produce a short movie. To throw
a spanner in the works, the teams may be given one or two obscure
lines, which they must incorporate into their film script. Teams
will then adjourn for a production meeting during which they will
put their ideas together, develop their roles, plot a storyboard,
write their script and investigate locations for filming. The appointed
team 'Directors' will assign the roles of Gofer (normally the most
senior team member), Cameraman, Location / Lighting Technician,
Make-up Artist / Wardrobe and 'The Cast'.
Teams
then begin to 'shoot their film' which would usually be between
3 and 5 minutes in duration. Our Lights Camera Action assistant
will be on hand to guide each team and to help with any technical
difficulties. Once all Directors have 'called it a wrap' on the
film sets, guests take a well earned break before attending the
Première Night Dinner...
Your
celebrity filled audience of directors, critics and actors alike,
enjoy the screenings of each production and then cast their 'Oscar'
votes under the categories of 'Best Director', 'Best Motion Picture',
'Best Actress' and 'Best Actor'. You may choose to add some special
awards of your own. Past ideas include 'Best Cross Dresser' and
'Best use of a Member of the Public' - and we will also present
our special award for the 'Champagne Moment of the Day' during an
Awards Presentation Ceremony which concludes your memorable Lights
Camera Action event in true Hollywood style!
The EMG film making event is suitable for 20 - 100 guests. Your
film making event will usually run for a half day depending on numbers
and format.
