Armed
with a set of car keys and their own personalised Mini Cooper, your
team will set upon a mission of discovery and intrigue around a
city or town of your choice. Each team will have their own mini,
with matching team baseball caps to add to the competitive element.
At
the briefing session, teams will receive their map and a set of
destination clues. Now it is up to them to collaborate as a team
to answer the riddles and find the hidden destinations, before the
other teams.
Apart
from the excitement of driving a classic car, teams have to plan,
co-ordinate and work together to make progress. Before your team
goes anywhere in the car it’s important that you’ve
worked out where you’re heading. This is a fantastic analogy
to teamwork in business. Your team vision needs to be clear for
you to be able to work towards a shared goal. Once you know where
you’re going you can head in the right direction. Then your
team faces challenges en route. It is completing these challenges
together that unites your team and it’s arriving at your final
destination that gives your team a feeling of euphoria.
In
true Italian Job style, it is possible to find gold at the mystery
destinations. Teams may have to use Global Positioning Systems,
2-way radios, remote controlled cars and shovels to find the precious
metal – but successful teamwork will make it a reality.
The
competitive energy builds up until the main finale; the weigh in.
Each team ceremoniously presents their gold to the judge, it is
weighed and recorded, the team with the most amount of gold wins.
This is a great fun packed team activity, which will not be forgotten
in a hurry. As well as having a great day out of the office together,
your team will feel motivated and rewarded.
The
fact that everyone on the event can drive the minis themselves is
unique (assuming they’ve got a driving licence). This makes
the people on the event feel very special. It’s a great reward.
The
Italian Job is also different because it can be organised almost
anywhere in the world. Provided there are roads available to drive
on then it’s possible to have your mini adventure anywhere.
The
range of challenges is designed to appeal to all types. Some challenges
will be cerebral; others will be hands-on practical activities;
some require good listening skills; others visual acumen.
The
Italian Job suits teams who are competitive as well as teams who
all work together. If you’d like a common goal on your event
(instead of a competition to win the race) all your teams can work
together to retrieve as much “gold bullion” as possible,
just like in the film. Teams would then use 2-way radios to keep
in contact with each other during their adventure, and meet up at
pre-set rendezvous.
Teams
will ideally be made up of 3 or 4 players with total guest numbers
ranging from 6 – 100. The Italian Job team building treasure
hunt will usually run between 3 hours and a whole day depending
on numbers and Itinerary.
