EMG wine tasting events are upbeat, contemporary and customised wine tasting events for groups of all sizes. All of our wine tasting events are managed and coordinated by Pip Martin, formerly a Manager at Harrods Wine Department and corporate wine taster for Richard Branson's Virgin Wines providing you with a perfect option for your evening event, team building event or client entertainment.

All our wine tasting events are highly interactive in nature, and are produced and designed for all levels of knowledge and interest in wine. Each experience may either be structured as a seated or reception-style, walk-about event, depending on your preferences and the style of the venue.

All Wine tasting adventures include our aroma phial kits. These dictionary sets of wine-related aromas provide fantastic entertainment, and are a uniquely inventive way of developing your guests' sensory skills.

The Wine Adventures

The Wine Quest:

A hugely entertaining wine tatsing game, Wine Quest is designed as a crescendo team building event. It is a highly dynamic wine tasting adventure, and very participative in nature. Like all our corporate events, it has been produced for all levels of wine knowledge and interest.

This Adventure includes a blind wine tasting experience, where the objective is to identify wines without seeing their label.

With the aid of an animated wine tutorial, wine colour charts, cheat sheets and aroma phial kits (dictionary sets of wine-related scents), guests participate with one goal, to win the Adventure and scoop the prizes.

Wine Options:

An uproarious blind wine tasting game which allows novices as much chance of winning as seasoned wine drinkers.

Wine Options is prefaced by The Taste Revelation - a fun, fast-paced animated wine tasting tutorial, which will provide a crash course in how to taste wine blind.

In the game itself, your quizmaster will present a series of increasingly precise options for the identity of the wine you are tasting. A typical series of questions might include Old World or New World? Riesling, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc? Australia or America? 2 years old or 10 years old?

Teams remain in the game only by choosing the correct option. For each question asked your group will receive concise, helpful and objective coaching from the quiz master. Each team will also collaborate and deliberate with our wine tasting cheat sheets, colour charts and aroma phial kits!

Bordeaux Bunch:

As a region Bordeaux produces more of the world's most expensive and sought after wine than anywhere else...
Bordeaux is also the world's largest vineyard area so as you can expect there's a whole plethora of wine styles to be tasted and enjoyed. For an evening event where nothing but the very best will do, The Bordeaux Bunch can include Chateau Latour, Chateau Margaux, or other famous first growths as required.

The Champagne Set:

The Champagne Set is an unforgettable sparkling wine tasting experience and a unique opportunity to try the broad spectrum of Champagne wines in one sitting. We cover all the major styles, and we guarantee your guests will leave feeling very happy indeed...

The event starts with "Drinking Stars", a fun, engaging, and focused animated tutorial that will lead you into the heart of this celebrated region. Guests then taste Champagnes in pairs, and use our colour charts and aroma phial kits to swiftly acquaint themselves with some of the world's most famous wines.

Guaranteed to add a wonderful sparkle to anyone's evening event, this wine tasting adventure can be produced as a game-based experience if required.

The Wine Ranges:

All of our wine tasting formats include a blind tasting element. In order not to weight an event in your favour, or more importantly hamper your experience, we suggest that we do not reveal your wine range in advance. We guarantee that all your tasting wines will be award-winning or press recommended. This is a suggestion only, and we will be happy to provide you with your tasting range on request.

EMG wine tasting events are suitable for 10 -150 guests. The Wine tasting event will usually run for up to 11/2 hours depending on numbers and format.
